Basic Vegan Homemade Seitan
Simple recipe for homemade seitan by Chef Ani
Seitan is made from wheat gluten and due to its chewy texture makes a good meat substitute.
In this recipe Ani makes a dough using wheat gluten, flour, nutritional yeast, spices, broth, liquid aminos and oil.
The dough is then cut into quarters and left to simmer in a broth for 40-45 minutes.
The seitan needs to be left to cool before using, and placing it in the fridge will give it a firmer texture.
